Job Summary:

As the Quick Service Team Lead Technician at our Buick GMC dealership, you'll take the lead in delivering fast, high-quality maintenance services while mentoring and guiding a team of express technicians. You’ll combine your hands-on technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure efficient workflow, exceptional customer satisfaction, and strict adherence to GM standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the quick service team in performing GM-recommended services including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and multi-point vehicle inspections.
  • Perform services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and multi-point inspections.
  • Supervise workflow to meet hourly throughput goals without compromising quality.
  • Act as the first point of contact for technical support to express techs, providing real-time coaching and GM-specific guidance.
  • Maintain clear communication with service advisors to ensure accurate repair timelines and proper customer updates.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets General Motors and dealership standards.
  • Oversee daily shop operations related to quick service, including cleanliness, safety compliance, and tool organization.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new express service technicians.
  • Support dealership CSI goals by ensuring quick service experiences meet or exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; GM ASEP or other technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive maintenance or light repair, preferably within a GM dealership.
  • Leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred.
  • GM STC (Service Technician Course) certifications are a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of Buick and GMC vehicle systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
